Three strangers, one diner and a night with no way home.
After missing the last bus, three strangers wait out the night in a roadside diner called The Oasis. Running fourteen minutes, the film is told almost entirely in close-ups.
Challenge
A single location, one night and three actors who met for the first time on the shoot day.
Approach
We rehearsed with the actors by phone for two weeks, then shot in story order so their relationship could grow on camera.
Result
The film is currently on the festival circuit and has received two jury mentions.
